Mediciner at the Davos of the East

The Mediciner was partner of the most prestigious summit of Central and Eastern Europe. About three thousand guests from politics, science and economy discussed a wide range of topics under the motto ‘Europe in search of leadership’.

The President of our association, Joanna Jozefiak, spoke primarily about the course to be set for the future viability of healthcare systems after the coronavirus pandemic and explained why Germany has one of the best healthcare systems in the world.

Also at the European Congress of Local Governments in Masuria, Joanna Józefiak discussed hot issues related to transnational healthcare services. She explained why Germany has one of the best health care financing systems in the world and praised German investments in prophylaxis and prevention. She emphasized that Germans value Polish physicians and medical staff, and how both countries struggle to tackle the challenge of staff shortages. On the other side, many German patients have enjoyed medical tourism since Poland joined the EU.
